Watching Beetlejuice for the first time was an absolute trip. It’s chaotic, hilarious, and full of Tim Burton’s signature offbeat charm. Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice is wild, unpredictable, and endlessly entertaining, he steals the show completely. The story is quirky but cohesive, balancing dark humor with a touch of heart.
That said, it’s hard not to acknowledge the controversy surrounding the actor who played the father, which does cast a shadow when watching the film today especially with all the elements that wouldn't ever be done today. Even so, the movie itself remains a wild, memorable ride, and I can see why it’s a cult classic. And as a result, I now own this in my collection.
